Athene Tax Announces Acquisition of Intrum VAT Services
Athene Group is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Intrum Oy's VAT business operations in Finland. Effective from July 1, 2024, all employees and customers of this division transitioned to Athene Tax Oy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Athene Group.
Strategic Growth and Expansion
This acquisition represents a significant milestone for Athene Tax, increasing our business operations and expanding our footprint in the Nordic region with a new office in Helsinki, Finland. With this integration, Athene Group will now operate from nine different office locations across eight cities: Arendal, Grimstad, Helsinki, Kristiansand, Oslo, Stavanger, Stockholm, and Warsaw. The addition of Intrum’s team increases our workforce to nearly 130 employees, enhancing our ability to deliver superior VAT and financial management services.

Intrum’s VAT division, consisting of eight dedicated professionals, has a rich history dating back to 1987. This long-standing expertise will continue under the Athene Tax banner, ensuring seamless service continuity for existing clients. The acquisition not only secures the continued provision of high-quality VAT services but also paves the way for the development of new service offerings and the integration of additional services.
